The nation will watch on via the BT Sport cameras to see whether FC Halifax Town can register their fourth consecutive win, and further push their name towards a play-off place as the season reaches its conclusion. The opponents on Monday night are Alfreton Town, themselves on a good run, having also registered three wins on the bounce, overcoming Tamworth, Chester and Hyde in recent weeks.

For Town, it represents a chance to end their TV hoodoo, having removed the away day albatross from their neck against Hyde and Welling, as they’ve lost both other televised fixtures at Cambridge and Chester.

Team News:

Neil Aspin figures to have an almost full squad to choose from, as Ryan Toulson continues his absence in the wake of the MK Dons FA Cup game back in November, but the right back aside there are no fresh injury worries for the manager to contend with.

Current form:

Only a points deduction keeps Alfreton out of second place as they seek to seal a place in at least the play-offs, and have won their last three matches. Going into Monday, they sit a very comfortable 3rd in the table.

Key man:

24-year old John Akinde has bagged 12 goals for the Reds so far this season, including a 73rd minute effort against Tamworth that ended up being the game-winner.

Akinde has Football League experience, having turned out for both Bristols, Wycombe, Brentford and Portsmouth among others.

Played for both:

Among others, current back-up goalkeeper Phil Senior has pulled on the jersey for Alfreton Town, before joining Ilkestone and then Halifax Town.

Down the years/Last Meeting:

Alfreton have taken 100% of the spoils in meetings between the two teams, the solitary fixture coming on November 2nd 2013, where the hosts ran out 3-0 winners, with Jake Speight netting twice, and John Akinde bagging the third just after half time.

Officials:

Referee: Darren Handley

Assistants: Matthew Corlett & Richard Wild

Fourth Official: Ian Hussin
