We started with 12 teams and after some good competitive games we are left with just 4 teams. The Semi-Finals!! !
The first Semi-Final is being played tonight and is between Salterlee and Holywell Green. Both teams entered the competition in the second round and both comfortably got through into the Semi-Finals.
Salterlee ran out 3-1 winners against Elland CoE in the 1st round and then beat last year’s finalists, Parkinson Lane, 2-1 in the quarter finals. Holywell Green endured a tough battle with St John’s and eventually won on penalties in the Quarter Finals. With both teams looking strong in the Quarter Finals it provides the potential for a truly mouth-watering Semi Final.
I hope to hear the supporters from the South Stand and East Stand to get behind both teams.
