Connor Oliver felt that a good Aldershot Town side edged the game against FC Halifax Town and is looking ahead to Tuesday nights’ match at Barrow.
Making his competitive debut for Billy Heath’s Shaymen, Oliver told Shaymen TV: “We have to move on and go into Tuesday with a winning mentality and try and get a win there. The games come thick and fast.”
On the performance as a whole, Oliver said: “I think we played some decent stuff at times. We have to keep the ball better and we all know that. It will start clicking soon.”
Oliver sliced a volleyed effort wide from inside the box in the first half, following that up with two goal-bound strikes from distance in the second. He said: “I probably should have put one away.”
