Former FC Halifax Town defender Marc Roberts looks set to join EFL Championship side Birmingham City from Barnsley for a fee of £3.5 million after passing a medical at St Andrews.
Roberts signed for Town from lower league side Buxton in 2012 spending two seasons with the Club before moving onto the Football League with Barnsley.
He is one a line of players who have moved from Town into the Football League alongside the likes of Jamie Vardy, Lee Gregory, Dan Gardner and Jordan Sinnott.
