FC Halifax Town will face Gateshead in the Isuzu FA Trophy final on Sunday afternoon at Wembley Stadium.

It will be Town’s second visit to Wembley Stadium having won the FA Trophy back in 2016 with a 1-0 win over Grimsby Town thanks to Scott McManus’ second half strike.

Chris Millington’s side have had to do it the hard way with every game on the way to the final being away from home getting past Guiseley, Harrow Borough, Maidenhead United, Aldershot Town and Altrincham.

Gateshead had to beat Gloucester H (5-1), Oldham H (3-1), Banbury United (A) 0-1, Farsley Celtic H (0-0 4-2 pens), Barnet 3-3 (4-1 pens).

Town finished the season with an eight game unbeaten run in the league and finished 11th in the table with 61 points.

Gateshead won the last two league games 4-0 at home to Maidenhead on the final day and a 2-0 win previously awat at Boreham Wood. They picked up 25 points from the last 33 on offer. They finished 14th in the table.

Adam Campbell finished the season with 13 goals in 43 appearances for Gateshead

The two sides drew 0-0 at the International Stadium during the season and a 2-0 victory for the Shaymen in the home game thanks to two goals for Town’s top goalscorer Mani Dieseruvwe.

The game will kick-off at 4.15pm.
