Elland-based energy, waste and IT management expert Core Facility Services will step down as principal sponsor of FC Halifax Town following the regular season coming to a close.
Core has been the name on every Shayman’s home shirt since 2019 and the partnership has resulted in the company being referred to as the Core of Halifax thanks to its long-running links with the Club.
Core MD and FCHT fan Colette Watts said: “Core and the Shaymen have been together through the pandemic and four thrilling football seasons.
“The Club is a big part of the Calderdale community and although it may be time for a new name on the shirt, Core will still be part of the FCHT story and we are committed to continuing our financial support into the new season.
“Core’s staff and customers are regulars at The Shay and that certainly won’t change either.”
FC Halifax Town’s Commercial Director, John Williams said: “FCHT and Core have become great friends over the past four years and we’re really pleased to have their ongoing support and commitment as we take the club into the next season.
“Core has been a fantastic principal sponsor and we have developed a true partnership which we look forward to continuing as we move into a new era.”
