He knows a thing or two about creating history lately.

Days after Macaulay Langstaff scored his 41st goal of the season – the most in a single campaign since the league was rebranded in 2015 – he has something else to whack on the CV.

The deadly striker has won the division’s Player of the Month for a third time in one season, something never achieved before.

After coming close to clinching the February gong, his March efforts have been rewarded.

He scored eight times, after a nine-goal haul the month before – denied by Eastleigh’s Charlie Carter last time, there was nobody stopping him now!

By the end of March, he was tied with Ricky Miller’s 40-goal record for player in one season, which he of course went on to break on Good Friday.

He found the net against Bromley, Eastleigh and Altrincham and fired pairs in games against Dorking and Scunthorpe United.

So incredible is his scoring form that – by the end of March – there was only one match since the start of February that he hasn’t scored in.

It’s a Notts double – and it’s not the first time Luke Williams has won the Manager of the Month, either.

Not a bad achievement considering he all-but conceded defeat in the title race during February!

But when you’ve refused to give up at any point in the season, it’s a good job his players didn’t pay too much attention!

Both know all the accolades are wonderful after a great season.

But there’s only one thing these two winners want – and that’s promotion.
