FC-Halifax Town will take a break from league action with a Isuzu FA Trophy Semi-Final tie on Saturday away at Altrincham, 3pm kick-off.
The Shaymen are 90 minutes away from a second trip to Wembley Stadium if they can beat Altrincham for the first time tis season after a draw and a defeat so far this season in the league.
Town have had to get to the semi-final the hard way with away trips all the way to the semi-finals. Town have beaten Guiseley, had to go through two penalty shoot outs at Harrow Borough and Maidenhead United, then a 2-0 victory over Aldershot Town in the quarter-final.
The FA Trophy has been welcome distraction from the league which has seen just three away victories this season in 20 games at Scunthorpe, Solihull and Oldham.
Altrincham sit 13th in the table and at home they have won 10, drawn 3 and lost 7 in the league.
So far they have beaten Curzon Ashton 1-0 at home, knocked Wrexham out on penalties at home and away victories at Bracknell Town and York City to reach the semi-finals.
The two sides met over the festive period with the Robins winning 2-1 on Boxing Day winning the game in injury time through Chris Conn-Clark’s goal and they drew 2-2 at the Shay on New Year’s Day with Town equalising twice through Milli Alli and Osayamen Osawe.
Altrincham and Town will both be looking for that one more win to set up a final at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 21st May when they will take on the winners of Gateshead vs Barnet
