FC Halifax Town came from behind to earn a point against midtable Solihull Moors at the Shay Stadium tonight in the Vanarama National League,

Town boss Chris Millington made one change to the starting XI with Tylor Golden coming in for Festus Arthur.

Solihull went ahead in the first half through their top goalscorer Andrew Dallas who headed past Sam Johnson, but Town equalised with Mani Dieseruvweโ€™s 10th goal of the campaign who turned on the edge of the box and fired past Ryan Boot.

The Shaymen started the game brightly, a Harvey Gilmour freekick found Golden down the right, but his cross was blocked and then cleared from danger.

Moors played the ball down the left-hand side for Dallas to run onto, the striker got into the box but his shot from a tight angle was never troubling Johnson and into the side netting.

A foul on Max Wright gave the Shaymen a chance from freekick, however Milli Alliโ€™s effort was miles over the bar.

Jesse Debrah intercepted and went on a charging run, his ball into the box found Dieseruvwe, he turned, and his shot was blocked from 8 yards out.

The visitors went ahead on 34 minutes, a freekick on the right was cleared, the ball back in from Ryan Barnett was headed by Dallas past Johnson for the opening goal of the game and his 12th of the season.

Town looked to find an equaliser straight away, Harvey Gilmourโ€™s ball into the box, looks for the run of Max Wright but the offside flag went up.

A Cappello corner into the box, Alli went down in the box under a challenge, no penalty given and then Jack Hunter fouled his man and went into the book.

Town equalised in the 64th minute, Dieseruvwe on the edge of the box with his back to goal, turned and fired past Ryan Boot for his 10th goal of the season.

The goal gave the Shaymen belief and thought they had made the chance to turn the game on its head. Debrah down the line for Max Wright, into the box, turned and fired at goal and Dieseruvwe fired over the bar from 2 yards out but it wouldnโ€™t have counted as the offside flag was up.

Town worked the ball down the right hand side which played in Wright, his cross was just in front of Dieseruvwe and he just needed a touch to turn it home.

Alli did well on the left hand side, cut inside and his shot from a tight angle went into the side netting.

Louis White came onto the pitch for Angelo Cappello and he was straight into the action with a shot which bounced in front of Ryan Boot but easy for the goalkeeper to save.

Alli down the left-hand side, his shot came off the post and out for a goal kick.

Neither side could find a winner and the points were shared at the Shay Stadium.

Town are back in action on Saturday with a home game against Maidenhead United, 3pm kick-off.
