FC Halifax Town drew 1-1 away at Boreham Wood in front of the BT Sport cameras in the Vanarama National League this evening.

Town boss Chris Millington made a couple of changes to his starting eleven with Festus Arthur, Jack Hunter and Angelo Cappello in for Jack Senior, Tylor Golden and Jordan Keane.

Wood top goalscorer Lee Ndlovu put The Wood ahead in the first half capitalising on a poor pass in midfield but Town earnt a valuable point in the second half from Milli Alliโ€™s 3rd goal of the campaign which he fired past Nathan Ashmore and off the post.

The home side started brightly, and their first shot was from Josh Payne from the edge of the box which was saved well by Sam Johnson at the second attempt with Josh Rees lurking for any rebound.

Boreham Wood went ahead on 10 minutes, a misplaced pass saw them come forward and Lee Ndlovu ran at the Town defence and fired past Johnson for the opening goal of the game.

Wood looked to find a quick second goal, a short throw into the box wasnโ€™t dealt with but they were unable to find a shot at goal and Town were able to clear.

A foul on Max Wright by Chris Bush gave the Shaymen a chance to put a dangerous ball into the box, Millenic Alli stepped up but curled his freekick past the far post and out for a goal kick.

Gilmour was dispossessed and Ndlovu had a chance from the edge of the box to bag his second of the afternoon, but he fired wide of the target.

Max Wright chased a loose back pass and Nathan Ashmoreโ€™s clearance came off the Town loanee but bounced away from goal and the goalkeeper was able to claim the ball.

A good Town move got Adam Senior in down the right-hand side and won Townโ€™s first corner. Gilmour found Mani Dieseruvwe, but his effort was saved by Ashmore from 8 yards out.

Play was stopped on 32 minutes as referee Adrian Quelch needed treatment for a calf injury and he was replaced by the fourth official Abigail Byrne.

A Josh Rees freekick was headed out for a corner by Mani Dieseruvwe, his corner into the near post was cleared away only to Bush his cross should have been turned home by Ndlovu but his touch took it away from goal and out for a goal kick.

A long ball forward looked for Ndlovu but fell to Danny Newton and his shot was deflected wide for a corner. Rees into the near post was cleared again.

Harvey Gilmour had a chance just after the second half started with a freekick and his effort from 25 yards was turned over the bar by Ashmore.

Wrightโ€™s cross looked for Dieseruvwe, with his back to goal he was unable to flick the ball goalwards and Wood were able to clear.

Festus Arthur was the first man in the book with a yellow card for a foul on Lee Ndlovu. The resulting freekick hit the wall and went out for a corner. Danny Newton got his head to the resulting set piece straight at Johnson.

A good run from Adam Senior got down by the right by-line, his cross was cleared for a corner.

Town equalised through a great strike from Milli Alli, he had time and space in midfield and fired past Ashmore hitting the post and into the net for his third goal of the season.

The home side looked to restore their lead straight away, Ndlovu found Rees in the box but his shot was wide of the target.

Wright down the right-hand side, looked find Dieseruvwe but good defending by the home side to stop the Shaymen going ahead.

Substitute Tyrone Marsh did well to hold the ball up and found George Broadbent, his curled shot skimmed off the post and out for a goal kick.

Good play from Senior found Town substitute Fidel Oโ€™Rourke and Payne had to block his cross by the by-line. The ball in was cleared as far as Angelo Cappello but his effort was always high and wide of the target.

Neither side could find a winner and shared the points at Meadow Park with a 1-1 draw.

Town are back in action on Tuesday night with the visit of Solihull Moors to the Shay in the Vanarama National League, 7.45pm kick-off.
