It’s 3rd vs 4th in the Vanarama National League on Saturday as FC Halifax Town take on Bromley at the Shay, 3pm kick-off.

The Shaymen go into the game level on points with our visitors having a played a game more and just one point behind leaders Stockport at the top end of the table.

Town got back to winning ways in the league last weekend with a 3-1 away victory at Dagenham & Redbridge thanks to goals from Matt Warburton and two from top goalscorer Billy Waters.

The result was welcome after back to back 1-0 defeats at home to Maidenhead and away to Boreham Wood in the previous two games.

Pete Wild’s side have picked up 20 points from the last 30 on offer in the National League which has included four wins in the last six competitive games.

The Ravens come into the game on the back of four straight wins, 1-0 at home to Notts County, 1-0 at home to Woking, 2-1 away win at Grimsby and 2-1 at home to Solihull Moors.

Their last defeat came at York Road on the 28th December, Nathan Blissett scoring the only goal of the game as Maidenhead ran out 1-0 winners. That’s their only defeat in the last eight league games.

Michael Cheek is their top goalscorer with 15 goals from 25 appearances 4 of them coming from the penalty spot.

The two sides met at Hayes Lane back in October and the game finished 0-0 in the return match.
