FC Halifax Town will head to Vanarama National League North side Kidderminster Harriers on Sunday afternoon looking to book a place in the Emirates FA Cup Third Round.

Town have been to the 2nd round on two occasions since 2008 losing 3-1 at home to AFC Wimbledon -in the 2018-19 and losing 2-0 in a replay at home to Eastleigh in the 2016-17 season.

However you have to go back to the 1987/88 season that Halifax Town AFC got to the third round of the FA Cup losing 4-0 at home to Notts Forest having beaten Billingham Synthonia (A) 4-2, Grimsby (A) 0-0, Grimsby (H) 2-0 before setting up the clash with Forest.

The Shaymen will go into the game full of confidence sitting third in the National League with just one loss in the last six. We have scored in the last four games and have won the last two on the road with a 3-2 win over Torquay United last weekend and 3-1 win over Dover the weekend before.

Kidderminster are 4th in the National League north and they beat Hereford 5-1 in the FA Trophy 2nd Round last weekend away from home.

There previous results include a 3-1 away victory at Gloucester, 4-1 away win at Alfreton and 3-0 home win over AFC Telford.

They have two former Town men in their squad with Cliff Moyo and Nyal Bell both plying their trade for Kidderminster this season.

The draw for the 3rd round will be on Monday evening.
