We’re delighted to announce that the FC Halifax Town Foundation community football session’s have been awarded funding as part of the Made By Sport, that will support the cost of delivering sessions and purchasing equipment.  Delivered in partnership with the Community Foundation for Calderdale this is a national scheme made available for eligible grassroots sports clubs and organisations.

The funding will support the continued development of the popular Tuesday training sessions.  The sessions are open to boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 16 years (school year 1 to year 16), of all abilities and will help budding footballers to develop their football skills, increase confidence, whilst keeping active with friends.

The South American game of Futsal is an integral aspect of our programme for younger players and will aid player development at all ages.  The game and associated training programme is credited for its role in the development of such greats as Ronaldo, Neymar and Pele.  The game is a great confidence builder for your players and it provides the best skill building environment to prepare players for the 11-a-side game.  All of our football courses run within the FC Halifax Town player progression pathway, which follows the FC Halifax Town coaching syllabus and progression of players into our Academy coaching sessions.

We have a small team of excellent coaches and we are very committed to provide the best and safest coaching environment possible.  All coaches are FA qualified, first aid qualified hold the FA safeguarding certificate and have been police checked before starting to work with us.

Dates, Time & Venue

Sessions run on a Tuesday evening at Calderdale College (Francis Street, Halifax, HX1 3UZ).
