Job Title: Youth Development Phase Academy Coach

Through the ongoing development of the FC Halifax Town Academy programme an exciting position has arisen for a part-time U16 coach.
The successful candidate will have a strong coaching background of working with players in the youth development phase. Possessing strong leadership and organisation skills the candidate will be able to inspire, champion and develop players.
The role will include session delivery (Monday evening) and fixtures (Saturday morning). The role will predominately be with players in the under 16 age group for season 2021/22 to support the recruitment and development of this age-group to maximise the opportunity for players to progress.
DUTIES
- Plan and deliver sessions in accordance with coaching syllabus aligned to the Academy’s philosophy.
- Support with recruitment and identifying players in the youth development phase.
- Maintain accurate records of training in line with requirements of the Football Club. Responsible for undertaking all administrative tasks associated with the position such a registers, session planning logs and fixtures.
- Create an environment to enhance realistic progress in player development by setting realistic but challenging performance expectations, provide feedback and reinforcement, build confidence.
- Ensure the efficient and effective operation of sessions, responsible for equipment set up and security, where appropriate.
- Ensure that appropriate standards of conduct are complied with at all times. FC Halifax Town is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, staff and volunteers are required to share this commitment.
- Assist in the communication and promotion of the clubs services.
- Establish and maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders building strong communication channels with Academy Manager and Youth Team coaches.
