FC Halifax Town will be looking for their first win of the season with a trip to Woking this weekend, 3pm kick-off.

The Shaymen were defeated 2-1 at home to Maidenhead on the opening day of the season, having gone ahead in the game through Billy Water’s debut strike.

Two first half goals from Max Kretzschmar helped Woking to a 2-1 away win at Wealdstone.

The game is the first of two over the Bank Holiday weekend with Town entertaining Altrincham at the Shay on Monday afternoon.

It was a 0-0 draw between the two sides at the Laithwaite Community Stadium whilst the Shaymen secured all three points in April with Jake Hyde’s goal against his former side.
