FC Halifax Town lost 1-0 away at Eastleigh which is The Shaymenโ€™s first defeat after a run of six games unbeaten.

Town boss Pete Wild told the official website, โ€œI thought there was nothing in the game and both sides cancelled each other out in the middle of the park. We switched off once, Tom Bradbury has tried to catch Tyrone Barnett offside and that is the only chance in the game. It is fine margins in the last few games, we have been on the right side of a couple of them, but you canโ€™t win them all.

He continued, โ€œWe would have been happy to have got a point, it was our sixth game in 3 weeks. Our levels were down today when we looked at the GPS on the coach, which is no surprise with the number of games we have had.

Wild was boosted with the return of captain Nathan Clarke back in the starting line up since getting injured in the away match at Sutton back in November but he lost Jack Earing and Tahvon Campbell through injury.

โ€œWe are down to the last embers of the team, Nathan did well on his return for us. He had a good battle with Barnett, he won his headers, he won his tackles, and I was pleased with him.โ€

In relation to the injuries, Wild said, โ€œWe hope Jake Hyde, Jack Earing and Danny Williams will be back next week for the visit of Sutton United, I would like to think Luke Summerfield will be back in 3 more games maybe after the Altrincham game.

Town have no midweek game this week, whilst Sutton will travel to Bromley on Tuesday night ahead of the game at the Shay next Saturday.

Wild concluded, โ€œWe are having some down time in the next couple of days, then we will look to build the players up for the game against Sutton next week. It is our chance this week to work on a couple of things for the next game with no game in midweek. Sutton haveย performed well this season, Martin Gray is doing well there, and I am looking forward to pitting wits against him. We have had some tight affairs between us whilst we have been here, hopefully next week, it will go in our favour.โ€
