FC Halifax Town return to the Shay tomorrow for just our 4th home league match on a Saturday of the season so far.
Town are on a run of four games unbeaten with three wins and a draw in recent weeks. This run has seen victories over league leaders Torquay United and Notts County, a draw against Hartlepool United and a win over struggling Wealdstone.
It’s back to home soil for the first of two games at the Shay this week with Solihull Moors tomorrow and Aldershot Town on Tuesday night.
Solihull, who are 17th in the table, sacked manager Jimmy Shan in midweek following a 5-0 defeat at home to Stockport County. They haven’t won a game in the league for six games which stretches back to the 16th February when they beat Aldershot Town 3-1 away from home. They will be managed until the end of the season by Mark Yates who returns to the Club on a temporary basis.
The two sides met in the return fixture back in December with Solihull Moors recording a 2-1 victory. Martin Woods had put the Shaymen ahead but Jimmy Ball and Kyle Hudlin’s goals helped them to the win.
Their top goalscorers this season are Joe Sbarra and Jimmy Ball who have both got 4 so far
