Barnet: Massive For Team Confidence

Following FC Halifax Town’s 5-2 win over Barnet, new striker Nyal Bell spoke to Shaymen TV to give his thoughts on the game, his goal, and looking ahead to Weymouth.

“It was a really good game,” Bell said. “I thought we were dominant throughout the match really. I really enjoyed my time on the pitch today, it is not every day you get to say that, but tonight was class. I was not expecting that first goal to in, but luckily Jeff got it in. That goal really pushed us forwards and set the tone for the whole game”

Bell was making his first start for the club and his first appearance at the Shay. The striker was pleased with his contribution but felt he could have had more.

“It was a nice little header,” Bell told Shaymen TV. “That is my job, to get in it in the net, in between the sticks and tuck them away. I was delighted I was able to do that today. It is massive for my confidence, the team’s confidence, and hopefully I can keep scoring week in week out. Really happy to get the goal on my first start as well.”

The Shaymen travel to Weymouth this Saturday 17:20 kicks off in front of the BT Sport cameras. Bell is full on confidence and believes the team can continue in similar style this Saturday.

“Really looking forward to it,” Bell said. “That’ll be my second away trip so I’m looking forward to continuing where we started today. Being in front of the cameras is always a challenge so I’ve got to bring my a-game to that one.”
