FC Halifax Town can confirm the double capture of winger Gevaro Nepomuceno and striker Gold Omotayo.

The pair join the Shaymen on short-term deals, with Nepomuceno joining after leaving Oldham Athletic, whereas Omotayo spent last season with Yeovil Town.

Nepomuceno is a 27-year-old who began his career in the Netherlands, before having spells elsewhere in Romania and Portugal. He moved to England in 2017 when he joined Oldham and worked under Pete

Wild when the current Town gaffer was in caretaker charge of the Latics.

The full-Curacao international spent last season on-loan with fellow National League Club, Chesterfield where he made 15 appearances and scored two goals.

Omotayo joins the Shaymen after a season with National League’s Yeovil – the striker scored twice for the Glovers against Halifax last season. The Swiss-born man has previously played for Bury FC, Whitehawk, and began his career with FC Zurich.

The 26-year-old has also played for various other clubs in Switzerland and has been with Maidstone on-loan prior to his move to Yeovil, last season.

Both players are eligible to play in this afternoon’s season kick-off – Gevaro and Gold have been allocated the squad numbers 15 and 17 respectively.
