FC Halifax Town’s Jeff King thought he should have had a penalty when he was tripped in the area.

King put in a strong performance down the right creating a number of good chances.

In just the third minute King switched the play to Williams who laid off Sho-Silva to fire home but the goal was quickly disallowed.

β€œI don’t know why the goal was disallowed, I don’t really understand that one.” Said King.

Halifax had the lionshare of possession in the first half, particularly in Sutton’s half of the pitch, King said β€œI thought we were dominant.”

Midway into the first half King was brought down in the area but the referee waved away the Halifax appeals.

β€œI knew it was a penalty and a couple of their lads admitted it was a penalty, when I spoke to the ref at half time he said there was contact but I didn’t need to go down.”

The game became more open in the second half with both sides getting in and around each other’s penalty area.

β€œSecond half when it became a bit like a basketball match I thought we would come out on top. When they pushed in the second half and tried to come at us probably helped us.” said the wing back.

Halifax now take on Woking at The Shay on Saturday.

King looked ahead to the game. β€œI always go into games positive and with dressing room spirit we’ve got at the minute we’ll go into that game and win.”
