FC Halifax Town host Dover Athletic at the MBI Shay Stadium on Saturday the 17th November.
Both sides come into the game off the back of an FA Cup tie with a League 2 side. Halifax faired the better of the two National League sides forcing a replay with Morecambe. Andy Hessenthaler’s side was less equipped for their game against Bury. Dover ended up losing the game 5-0 after Bury started the scoring early on.
With only 2 wins in the league Dover sit bottom of the National League. The first came in August Havant & Waterlooville.
But in their last league came their second win of the season. A 2-0 win against Maidenhead was a great result for Hessenthaler and he’ll be hoping his side can continue that league form.
The Shaymen, on the other hand, haven’t won in the League since the 1-0 win over Gateshead. But with some promising performances recently, the fans will be hoping for three points at home on Saturday.
Kevin Lokko are The Whites’ top scorers in the league this season, although the first is without a goal since the 25th SeptembeJamie Fullarton’s side have earned double the amount of points as Dover have this season. Halifax sitting on 22, while the bottom side sit on 11, with Halifax 8 places above their visitors in the table.
Matty Kosylo is available to come back into the side for The Shaymen after he missed out in the FA Cup tie due to a suspension.
