Following FC Halifax Town’s spirited 2-1 defeat to Championship side Bolton Wanderers in pre-season, Sanmi Odelusi offered his thoughts on the game in addition to Town’s pre-season so far.

“It’s a shame not to get the win,” stated the winger.

“But it was a good run out for the boys today. It was good with the new team as well to develop some chemistry between the boys”

Odelusi, who played well in the game, was modest about his performance: “I could have performed better, but obviously it’s one of the first games in pre-season too and it does get some getting used to when playing with different players that you’re not used to.”

Town again fielded a team involving numerous trialists, all of whom looked competent in their retrospective positions.

The 25 year-old also shared his gave an insight in to what pre-season has been like under manager Jamie Fullarton: “Every pre-season is going to be hard, but especially here with our manager it is, and that will make sure we’re ready for the season to commence.”

Town will next face Port Vale on Tuesday evening and Odelusi was hopeful of a victory. He cemented that the team “go out in every game to win it in pre-season.”
