FC Halifax Town manager Jamie Fullarton admits that the performance in the previous game at Woking was the most pleasing part of the match as well as getting maximum points from the game.
Fullarton managed his second win in charge of the Shaymen on Saturday and will be looking to make that three this evening against Dagenham and Redbridge.
“It is always pleasing to get a win away from home against a team with one of the best home records in the league, but I think that our performance that got us the three points was the most pleasing.” Jamie Fullarton said.
The former Scottish International said that although he was pleased with the new arrivals settling in as good as they have done, it was his expectation.
“The new signings pleased me with their performance, but it is being nothing short of what I expected. When I bring players into the group, I expect a seamless transition into the group and that is what I got.” Fullarton told FCHT Online.
Going into the match at home to Dagenham and Redbridge this evening, Fullarton reveals that with the quick turnaround of matches, they are doing well to control fatigue.
“With us having a quick turnaround to play tonight after the game on Saturday, there is going to be fatigue but we are controlling it.” He said.
Fullarton believes, that the match will still bring a difficult test for his players, despite the opposition being on a poor run of form having won just twice in their last six games.
“In every league that you play in, each match will always bring a different challenge. Just because Dagenham are on a poor run of form.” He said
It does not give us the opportunity to not play to our very best.” The boss added.
Fullarton was very complimentary towards the Daggers’ boss John Still and believes that it will be a match where the team must be on their best.
“They have a very experienced and successful manager in John Still.
“They are above us in the league which proves that they have the ability to play well, which means it will still be a difficult task for ourselves.”
The former Notts County manager will make his debut on the touchline at the MBi Shay this evening and he reveals that it is an opportunity to win another game.
“It is one we are very much looking forward to. I hope to see a good performance to go along with the three points that we are looking for.”
Fullarton admits that he is looking forward to managing the team at home in front of the home fans and hopes for a positive result to reward them for their support.
“It will be my first time on the touchline at the Shay this evening, and one that I am very much looking forward to.”
“The fans have been excellent in our last two away games and to reward them for that, I want us to put in the type of performance that they can get involved with and feel a part of it with me and the players.”
Fullarton also believes that there is nothing better than winning at home in front of the supporters.
“There is nothing better than performing well at home and getting a positive result in front of the home support.” Fullarton added.
