Pen Pic: Peniket started his youth career with Walsall and in 2009 joined Fulham. He never made a first team appearance for the Cottagers and was loaned out to teams such as Hereford United and Kidderminster Harriers. In 2013 he was released from Craven Cottage and joined Tamworth. After just one season there he signed for the Shaymen on a free transfer, and started to impress at the Shay.
A long-term knee injury sustained in the 0-0 draw at Altrincham in March 2015 kept Peniket out for a number of months but he was able to rejoin the town team in 2016. He was a starting member of the FA Trophy winning side at Wembley in May but didn’t register a Halifax goal last term. With a full pre-season under his belt Peniket, who has played for Wales Under-21s, will be hoping to regain the form he showed in his first season at the Shay.
