There were two Buildabase FA Trophy ties involving National League North sides this week. Brackley Town were convincing winners over league leaders AFC Fylde. Goals from Glenn Walker, James Armson, Matt Lowe and David Moyo condemned the Coasters to a 4-0 defeat in their replay. The result sees Brackley make the trip to Edgeley Park to face another National League North side, Stockport County, in the next round.

Harrogate Town conceded a heart-breaking last minute equaliser, scored by Barrow’s Akil Wright, to force extra time. Lindon Meikle’s goal and then Wright’s second proved too much for Harrogate, and Barrow won 4-2. Ross Hannah had put them ahead but Harrogate bounced back to lead through Chib Chilaka and then Jon-Paul Pittman, before Wright secured Barrow a home tie against the Shaymen’s conquerors Matlock Town in the next round.

Darlington 1883 hope their Blackwell Meadows ground – shared with Darlington Rugby Club – will be ready to host its first game on Boxing Day, against FC Halifax Town. The ground will be subject to an FA inspection next week.

FC United of Manchester have announced they are set to open up their Broadhurst Park ground to the homeless community of Manchester on Christmas Day. They will run a bus from the city centre to the ground four times throughout the day, and provide food and the opportunity for a hot shower, as well as activities such as computer games and arts and crafts to bring the Christmas spirit to all.

Bradford Park Avenue have signed Scunthorpe United striker Jack Dyche on loan. The 19-year-old will stay with Avenue until the end of the season.

Dan Cockerline’s loan stay at Stalybridge Celtic has come to an abrupt end. The striker suffered an injury whilst training with parent club Barrow leading to his loan stay at Bower Fold being terminated.

Chorley have extended the loan of Nathan Sheron from Fleetwood Town for another month, until January 11.

Tamworth’s Luke Jones, a centre-half, has signed a contract extension which will see him play at The Lamb until the end of the 2017/18 season.

Academy products Ellis Evans, Morgan Brough and MoZiah Selassie have all signed professional contracts at Alfreton Town.

Nick Haughton, who was on loan at Salford City, has been recalled by Fleetwood Town.
