After defeating the league leaders Macclesfield in the FA Trophy, Halifax venture onwards to the next round where they will play Maidenhead at the MBi Shay in hopes of continuing their cup run. Letโ€™s see how events are shaping up around the Vanarama National League.

Aldershot winger Matt Bozier has joined AFC Totton on loan for the rest of the season.

17-year old Bozier, who has made three first-team appearances this season, returns to the Evo-Stik Southern League side after also spending the final two months of 2016-17 at the Testwood Stadium.

Tranmere Rovers were deeply saddened to learn that former Rovers goalkeeper Tommy Lawrence had passed away at the age of 77.

The Scotsman spent his entire professional career in Merseyside, spending 14 years with Liverpool FC and winning the First Division (top flight) title twice, the FA Cup once and two Charity Shields, before moving to Prenton Park where he spent three years between 1971 and 1974 and made 80 league appearances for Rovers.

Maidstone United manager Jay Saunders has added to his squad with the signing of Darius Osei from Oldham Athletic.

He signed for the Latics in July 2016 for an undisclosed fee from Stalybridge Celtic and broke into the first team straight away after scoring two goals in the Checkatrade Trophy game against Carlisle United.

Osei went on to make 23 appearances in all competitions last season and was offered a contract extension with the League One side this summer.

Woking Football Club have announced that Joe Ward has left the Cards to join League One side Peterborough United for an undisclosed fee.

Joe, 22, signed for Woking in June on a two-year deal and immediately impressed the fans with his pace, skill, and high work rate.

The tricky winger made 34 appearances for the club, scoring 7 goals including the winner in our opening match of the season against Gateshead, and the crucial equalising goal against his new side Peterborough in the FA Cup 2nd Round to take the tie to a replay.

Leyton Orient have confirmed the arrival of Gambian International midfielder Ebou Adams on loan from Norwich City.

The 21-year-old joins on a deal until the end of the season, having spent the first half of the campaign on loan at League One high-flyers Shrewsbury Town.

Chester FC have confirmed the signing of hometown midfielder Gary Roberts.

The 30-year-old from Blacon has signed a short-term deal at the Swansway Chester Stadium.

Solihull Moors have announced that they have agreed the permanent signing of Jamey Osborne for an undisclosed fee from Grimsby Town.

The 25-year-old has been on loan at the club since the beginning of December after initially impressing during his first spell with the club.

They also announced that they have signed central midfielder Kyle Storer on a permanent deal following his release from Cheltenham Town.

The 30-year-old arrives at The Automated Technology Group Stadium with plenty of experience having enjoyed time in the Football League and the Vanarama National League โ€“ he reached the landmark of 500 senior appearances in October 2017.

Finally, Torquay United Football Club have announced the signing of winger, Reece Mitchell.

Mitchell, 22, is a former Chelsea Academy graduate who signed professional terms for the Premier League champions in 2013.

He joined Chesterfield in 2016 going on to make 32 Football League appearances for the Spireites, 28 of those in League One.

Also announcing the signing of central defender Conrad Balatoni, subject to international clearance.

Balatoni, 26, has spent his career in Scotland playing for Hearts, Partick Thistle, Kilmarnock, Ayr United, and most recently Falkirk.

He is best known for helping Partick Thistle to promotion to the Scottish Premier League in 2013.
