Tranmere Rovers: Supporters Club

Good afternoon, and welcome to you all. Today we embark on our annual FA Cup adventure. I perennially assume that we are unlikely to win the cup, thus regarding our participation as a simple money-making exercise.

Obviously FCHT cash in with additional gate receipts, but we at the Supporters Club also benefit in a number of ways. For a start, we enjoy an additional bucket collection (so don’t forget to donate, of course). There are also further opportunities to sell Domino Cards, not forgetting our programme and memorabilia stall beneath the East Stand.

Just in case there is any confusion among FCHT Staff, and contrary to advice given to away fans recently, Dave Crossley runs the Supporters Club stall prior to virtually every home game. Why not see for yourselves by popping in from time to time? The stall could always do with additional stock, so if you have any (preferably old) matchday magazines or similar which you would be willing to donate, just drop them off before entering the turnstiles.

As promised, we are now in a position to confirm full details of our annual Trip to the Dogs. This will take place on Saturday 25th November following the home fixture versus Eastleigh. Our coach leaves the MBi Shay car park at 6pm, travelling directly to Belle Vue, Manchester. We leave it to individuals to book appropriate entrance and meal packages directly through the Belle Vue website,  www.lovethedogs.co.uk/belle-vue, although pay at the gate admission is available on the night. The coach returns to Halifax following the final race, arriving around midnight. We anticipate the cost of the coach to be around £10 per head. Bookings can be made through any Supporters Club Committee member.

Whether or not you have been with us previously for this always enjoyable night out, you are welcome to join us this time round. You may even return with a profit – who knows?

See you soon, Kit.
