Tamworth: There’s More To Come

Richard after such a successful pre-season it must be such a relief to finally get your name on the score sheet.

In the first four games I think Iโ€™ve been doing the job for the team and working really hard but I havenโ€™t really been getting into those goal scoring positions and today it was nice to be alongside Denton and getting in those positions where I got a couple of goals.

How is your relationship with Denton going?

Heโ€™s a top lad, heโ€™s come in brilliantly, settled in really well and to come in and score 6 goals in 5 games is brilliant. And he obviously causes defenceโ€™s problems which takes the pressure off you, meaning you can get into those better positions where you can score goals. So yeah the relationship is working really well.

Still unbeaten this season and top of the table, just how great is this season going?

I still think we can get better, the two draws we had I think we could have won, so I think thereโ€™s more to come, but I canโ€™t complain too much as we are unbeaten, and thatโ€™s pre-season as well. Weโ€™re heading in the right direction and we have to keep improving and keep our heads on it.

Next game against AFC Fylde, how are you going to prepare for that?

Just like we have been, we know what theyโ€™re about, keep organised in training and know what weโ€™re going to come up against and play our own game and impose ourselves on them and I donโ€™t think we should be scared of anyone in this league so we can go and get a win.
