FC Halifax Town host Tamworth this Saturday, with the Shaymen looking to continue their unbeaten run under manager, Billy Heath.

Under Heath’s stewardship, Town went through he entirety of preseason without suffering defeat, including two impressive wins over Sheffield United and Morecambe.

To follow this up, the Shaymen have a near perfect start ton their Vanarama National League North campaign, and are yet to suffer defeat.

Heath has spoken of his pleasure with the start he has made with his new side, but, ahead of Saturday’s clash with the midland side, is eager to reinforce that every game is going to be a battle.

“The draw on Tuesday night kept the unbeaten run going, which is huge for us,” the 45-year-old said.

“The problem we’ve got now is maintaining it, and maintaining our squad as we’ve already picked up a heap of injuries.

“We’ll miss Cliff Moyo on Saturday through suspension, but it also looks like we’ll miss Danny Hone and Nathan Hotte for the Tamworth clash, which are big losses.

“To add to that Liam King could be another big miss for us, so we can only hope for the fitness of some players.

“We’re hopeful on bringing some new faces in before Saturday, as we know it will be a tough match for us, just like any game in this league.

“If not we have some young players who are very talented, such as Ross Barrows, but who perhaps lack experience at this level.

“However, whatever team we do put out will be drilled and organised and hopefully, can keep our unbeaten run going.”
