After picking up his first goal for the club during a terrific performance, we spoke to centre back Daniel Hone for his thoughts on the game.

โ€œ[On the performance] Very good, we started really well, had a patchy ten minutes and then stepped on the gas a little bit but once we got the first the floodlights opened, so really pleasedโ€

โ€œObviously itโ€™s always nice to get a goal. It was pretty crucial at that time, we had missed a couple of chances and that set us on our way. It was nice personally, but itโ€™s not about me, itโ€™s about the team and we did really well todayโ€

โ€œIโ€™m happier with the clean sheet [on the preference of his goal or a clean sheet], I always am happy with a clean sheet over goals; itโ€™s what I am paid to do as a centre back. So I am happier with the clean sheet.โ€

โ€œ[When asked if anyoneโ€™s performance stood out] Everyone was great, Drenchy to Dents, Dents was unlucky not to score today. Even the lads who came on, I thought we were different class and everyone showed quality.โ€

โ€œWe just got to carry on the same way we are playing now and hopefully we will get the result [against Fylde].โ€
