The Supporters Club Committee would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who attended the Flying Dutchman in Boothtown for the annual Sporting Quiz – an excellent venue provided the background for a very enjoyable evening with just over £125.00 being raised for the ultimate benefit of FC Halifax Town.
Special mention here to longstanding Town fan John Chew of the Flying Dutchman who not only kindly sponsored the Quiz Night but also provided complimentary Pie and Peas. John’s other business interests include the Running Man (Pellon), the Railway Hotel (Halifax) and The Feathers (King Cross) and, in the future, the Supporters Club will aim to make use of each of these popular pubs for similar fundraising events.
Finally, well done to Dave Crossley for organising the evening, compiling the questions and compering the event on behalf of the Supporters Club.
