Saturdayโ€™s goal scorers Liam King and Daniel Nti feel the team has a massive confidence boost behind them being back in a serious hunt for the playoff places and will carry this belief into their second successive home game with Stockport County this weekend.

FC Halifax Town came from two goals down to stun Salford City with a ruthless second half display, leapfrogging their opponents with a 4-2 win. Nti and Kingโ€™s headers brought the match level at the start of the half and it is believed the duo can play another big role on Saturday afternoon.

King said: โ€œTo go from getting slaughtered and picking up bad results to the form we are in now is brilliant. If we keep our consistency we can have good go at making the playoffs and keeping a run going.

โ€œFor me personally it has been good to come on and get a boost of sharpness and to play really well, and that can only help the team moving forward.โ€

Nti had Shaymen fans hugely excited with his energetic performance, and makes a massive impression in a squad which he has not yet even been part of for a whole week.

โ€œIt was a great result last weekend, I was really happy to play in what was probably the best game Iโ€™ve been involved in this season,โ€ the forward claimed.

โ€œThe boss just asked me to come in to aid the promotion bid, so thatโ€™s what Iโ€™m trying to do.

โ€œA big team-talk was needed and we came out and did what we had to do to turn it around and get the three points.

โ€œThe fans can really be the 12th man,โ€ said the on-loan York City recruit.

โ€œThey gave us a real lift against Salford and they can really help us push on, itโ€™s a great ground with great supporters who donโ€™t stop singing.

โ€œHopefully, we can pick up another three big points.โ€

Coverage of the action from The MBi Shay Stadium is available on Shaymen Player HDโ€™s live audio commentary, and updates are available through the Shaymen Wall and Twitter @FCHTOnline. Highlights and interviews will be on Shaymen Player HD following the match.
