Hello and welcome to this afternoons BIG clash against Stockport County!

Well… The buzz is definitely back at the club and support over recent weeks has been outstanding! I would like to personally thank all the sponsors and hospitality guests from last week’s belter against Salford!

It’s been a while since I’ve seen a second half of football like that and I am just glad it was Salford on the receiving end!ย  Well the buzz continues this week as we welcome another very busy dining room along with today’s very special match sponsors ”Friends and family of the late Tim Conway.

Carrying on a long-standing tradition, started by Tim Conway whilst landlord of the Brown Cow, of sponsoring at least one game a season at the Shay. A tradition they are proud to continue today in TC’s memory.

Paul Shannon has the following to say โ€˜’This has been a strange year for some in our group today who were responsible for inflicting upon you all a song for Town’s adventurous trip to Wembley. ‘When Glory Shone Around’

The idea for a song was stumbled upon over too many beers in Halifax hostelries. The fact that in less than two months we got it recorded, videoed, radio and TV coverage and best of all, played at Wembley on the day beggars belief. We made 500 CD’s and all profits have gone to the club via sales and sponsorship, so thank you to all who purchased the CD, watched the YouTube vid, downloaded from ITunes and encouraged us along the way. (A definite highlight being Colin Murray and Perry Groves reaction when they played it on Talk Sport) The Legends of our Terraces verse was written with TC in mind, and the song is dedicated to all our departed comrades with whom we have stood alongside, shoulder to shoulder, complained with, sung with and laughed with over generations of happy years at the Shay. They were in our hearts and minds on that momentous day. The Roving Thieves and The Landlubbers can be found gigging around the Halifax area, where ‘When Glory Shone Around’ always goes down a storm at the business end of the evening.

We’ve even had Bradford City fans belting it out…. A sight to behold.

RIP TC HxTFC.”

Once again, a massive thank you to all who has been involved making this day bigger and better every year!

Welcome and thank you to today’s Match Ball Sponsors who are Michael Coveney and friends! We thank you for the continued support!

As always, we would like to give a special mention all our senior sponsors for this season Northern Powerhouse Development, GB Architectural, Integro, Hanson Plywood, VW Van Centre & Transline. Our main sponsors all play a crucial role with the club and I look forward to working with them this season.

We also welcome Angie Struck and her family who are celebrating a very special 60th Birthday in box 4. Happy Birthday Chris Struck from your wife Angie and the rest of your friends and family! Once again, I would like to raise the awareness give special mention to The FC Halifax Town Sporting Dinner which will be held on Friday 17th February at the Cedar Court Hotel at the top of the M606 in Bradford. The Sporting Dinner is our biggest annual event with over 400 fans and businesses in attendance.
