FC Halifax Town’s biggest game of the seasonย is less than 24 hours with the 2nd leg of the Vanarama National League North play-off game against Salford City.

The two sides drew 1-1 in the first leg on Wednesday night at Moor Lane and both sides know what needs to be done to reach the final, which will be away at Kidderminster Harriers on Saturday or at home to Chorley depending on their result tomorrow.

Richard Peniket put the Shaymen ahead in the first half however James Pooleโ€™s late equaliser ensured both sides go into tomorrowโ€™s game level.

If the league form is anything to go, the Shaymen drew 2-2 at Moor Lane back in September but were 4-2 winners in January to gain 4 points out of 6 from the two games.

Billy Heath knows what it takes to win promotion from this league as he did with it North Ferriby United last season and there is experience in the squad within the players, however nothing is guaranteed and they will know they have to work hard to ensure it is Town in the final next weekend.

Match Officials:

Referee: Paul Marsden

Assistant Referees: Elliott Heward & Nicholas Hawksby
