Adam Morgan has hailed Man-of-the-Match Matty Kosylo as “magic” after the winger’s two goals helped FC Halifax Town to a 3-2 victory over Maidenhead United at The MBi Shay Stadium on Saturday.

Morgan opened the scoring in the first half, registering his first home goal of the season, before two strikes from Kosylo put Town 3-0 in front. Maidenhead scored twice late on but Town held on for a fully deserved three points and their third straight victory at The Shay.

The striker was full of praise for his good friend Kosylo and feels he’s a vital part of the Town squad. “We all know what Kossy can do,” Morgan told ShaymenTV, “that doesn’t surprise me seeing him score two goals because as everyone calls him “Magic” and that’s what he really is.”

“When he gets the ball, you know what he’s going to do, he’s direct. And, I was actually shouting at him to pull it back, like the one at Solihull but like I say, I’m not surprised to see them going in the back of the net.”

“He’s one of my close mates and we talk a lot and we try and work together a lot. But I’m made up for Kossy, he’s been working really hard so I’m delighted for him.”

Speaking of his own goal, Morgan said that he was happy to get on the scoresheet although he was slightly frustrated not to have a brace of his own. “I could have a couple more today”, Morgan said “but you know from the keeper made some good saves.”

“I’ve been telling Josh Mac(Donald), I’ll be across the front post and he’s picked me out perfectly, all I had to do was make contact so I’m delighted. I thought I played well and it’s nice to get a goal.”

The former Liverpool striker almost had a second goal with an audacious attempted chip over the goalkeeper from just over the halfway line, however keeper Carl Pentney managed to prevent a sensational double.

“Yeah, I thought the gaffer would headlock me if it doesn’t go close!”, joked Morgan. “But no, if it’s on I’ll go for it, I wouldn’t just do it stupidly and the keeper was off his line and he’s managed to make a good save.”
