David Lynch shared his thoughts on signing his new FC Halifax Town contract. David was delighted to have signed back with Halifax saying “Obviously I’m delighted to get it sorted, glad to get it over and get it sorted, I’ve known since the end of last season that I wanted to stay and the way the club has handled everything has been very professional.”

The midfielder reflected on last season’s playoff final positively saying ““It was absolutely fantastic those memories will live with us all forever, no amount of money or anything can replace that feeling to do it in front of our own fans was an absolutely brilliant feeling.”David Lynch

On a personal level David looked back on his positive debut season David reflected “I thought I got better and better listening to the gaffer and the things that he wanted me to improve on, learning from other players helped a lot especially Kevin Roberts, Liam King, Matty Brown and Danny Hone, a lot of experience there and for someone like myself just taking it all in. I think that there is a lot more to come and people forget because of the way I speak I’m only 23 years old.”

He hopes for more success at The MBi Shay Stadium and is looking forward to playing football at a higher level next year “Obviously it’s going to be tough it’ll be a step up the gaffer will make no illusions about that. A lot of the lads in our squad have already played at that level and a lot higher so I don’t think it will phase anybody. It’s just a case of doing the things we have done well this season and everybody making that step up.”

David wanted to add a message to the fans saying, “Keep doing what you did this season thank you very much for the welcome you have given me, I think the season gone has gone a short way to return the support you have given us and I hope we can bring you more happiness next season.”
