Good evening, and welcome to you all. I sincerely wish Hartlepool well for the remainder of this season; all too many teams at our level are experiencing financial difficulties, and it’s not all that long since that we were in a similar position ourselves so we do sympathise.
On a more positive note, our own social and fundraising increases as we approach the season’s end. A final reminder that the next home game (v Sutton on March 3rd) is the nominated Supporters Club match for 2017/18. Details have been circulated in previous versions of these notes and elsewhere, so I’ll resist the temptation to repeat them once more. If the event has somehow passed you by, just speak to any Committee member and we’ll fill you in.
Friday March 23rd sees us joining with the local RAOB to run a Fun Race Night at the Belgrave Social Club on Claremount Road. All races have now been sponsored, and all horses sold. You can still participate of course by attending the event (which is always a good laugh), and putting a few bob on your favourites nags. The action commences at 8pm, so please come along to offer us your support. Who knows, you might even make a profit or win a raffle prize.
Next a reminder we are seeking donations for our forthcoming End of Season Raffle. While the major prizes are already sorted, we still require some further additions, and the more donations we receive, the less of the prize money needs to be spent to make it an attractive proposition. Again, if you can help you know all too well where to find us.
Meanwhile, our regular bucket collections, memorabilia stall and domino cards feature before every home match, so please don’t forget us as you head towards your favoured positions in the stands. Without your contributions we couldn’t function.
See you soon, Kit.
