Guiseley: Supporters Club Notes

Good morning, and welcome to you all. An unusual greeting brought about by many people arriving before midday, courtesy of the TV cameras. I suppose an early kick-off will be acceptable to most fans, although personally it doesn’t help as I am working until 12.30 today! Hopefully, a replacement volunteer can be found for the South Stand bucket collection, as the Supporters Club won’t wish to lose out.

We would like to thank the FCHT Board of Directors for joining us at our Open to Question meeting on Thursday night. These notes are actually written prior to the meeting, so I am unable to comment on the content. Similarly, I cannot confirm whether the Committee were re-elected or not, but let’s say I’m hopeful we may have been!

We have recently received a good number of cash donations from our helpful fans, too many to mention individually. Thank you to all concerned; you know who you are. For those of you who want a touch more for your money – maybe in the form of seeing your name in the matchday programme, we are again managing the “Play the Squares” and “Goal-o-meter” initiatives this season.

Further details of these will be covered in future programme notes, although if you know enough already and wish to be involved, please speak to any Committee member.

Our annual Trip to the Dogs is currently being planned, and we should be in a position to give details in the next issue of these notes which will of course be in seven days time. You’d think it would be a simple matter to pick an evening following a home game, but the FA Cup schedule takes a couple of possible dates from us, as we obviously don’t know if we’re at home until it’s too late.
