Connor Thomson was gutted that FC Halifax Town came home with a 2-0 loss to AFC Fylde and an injury loss to Matty Kosylo after going six games unbeaten from Jamie Fullartonโs arrival.
โIn the first half I thought we didnโt start off well but after 10 minutes we played well and kept ourselves in the game, but in the second half they really took the sting out of it and it really killed off our momentum.
โIt was one of those games where weโve just got to move on and prepare ourselves for the next game on Monday against Gateshead.โ
Thomson nearly got the Shaymen off to the perfect start, as he cut across the box and struck at goal looking for the near post, but his effort flashed just past the post.
โThe ball came to my feet and I had plenty of time to come inside and put a shot away, but it came off the defender which I was gutted but it was nice to get into that attacking position.
โItโs more important to get the win and do whatever it takes but if the team win and I get on the score sheet, it will be even better.โ
Connor will hope to feature in Mondayโs game against Gateshead at the Shay, who havenโt won an away game since Valentineโs Day.
โWith their away form, it will give us the boost we need if we can just turn up and get switched on, Iโm confident we can beat them and get the three points.
โThereโs not a lot of time to rest so I will just be heading to the gym and spending time with the family but as a team we will need to be switched on for the game.โ
