FC Halifax Town U19s welcome York City to the MBi Shay Stadium in the first-round proper of the FA Youth Cup tomorrow night.

The Young Shaymen have enjoyed a stellar run in the competition so far defeating Staveley Miners Welfare, Stocksbridge and AFC Fylde in the competitionโ€™s qualifying rounds.

York City secured their place in the first-round with a 9-0 win over Barton Town Old Boys following a 6-0 win over Garforth Town when they entered the competition in the second qualifying round.

Now that the first round is here some of the FA Youth Cup big boys have entered the draw. Sheffield United host Crewe Alexandra while Coventry City head to Dukirk FC of Nottinghamshire and Portsmouth face Eastleigh in a south coast derby.

The Young Shaymen will be hoping that a good performance tomorrow at the MBi Shay Stadium will be enough to secure a place in the second round.
