FC Halifax Town will make their third straight trip south this weekend when they visit The PHB Stadium to face Ebbsfleet United.

Halifax have an impressive start to the season since winning promotion to the Vanarama National League as they sit in 4th in the table, just a point behind league leaders Sutton United.

Town also enter this fixture as the form side having won six of their eight contests and taken 19 points from a possible 24.

Similarly, Ebbsfleet have made a steady beginning to life back in the non-league’s top-flight following their promotion from National League South having lost just once in their first dozen matches.

Remarkably, the Kent side have drawn nine of their 12 games which saw a run of seven consecutive draws from August to September.

Town will be towards their two-joint top scorers Tom Denton and Matty Kosylo to continue their fine form in front of goal this weekend.

Both Denton and Kosylo scored in Halifax’s 2-1 victory over Bromley at The MBi Shay Stadium last weekend, with striker Denton also bagging four goals in his last five matches whilst winger Kosylo has found the back of the net four times in the same amount of appearances.

Meanwhile, Ebbsfleet’s main goal-scoring threat will come through 34-year-old veteran forward Danny Kedwell, formerly of Gillingham and AFC Wimbledon, who has scored five times in this campaign and currently the club’s scoring chart.

Billy Heath’s side will be without centre back Scott Garner who begins to serve a three-match ban following his red card against Bromley last weekend.
