FC Halifax Town now have the long trip south to Dover Athletic in their sights, after negotiating the busy Christmas period in respectable fashion.
The weekend saw the Shaymen produce an outstanding performance to comfortably beat Chester FC 4-0 at the MBi Shay Stadium, before travelling to Macclesfield Town.
Town were unlucky not to get a point at Moss Rose following Tom Denton’s early opener, with the Silkmen coming from behind to keep them top of the Vanarama National League as the Shaymen stay in fourteenth.
