FC Halifax Town midfielder Josh MacDonald spoke ahead of the clash against Barrow this Saturday, he believes that the last game was such a thriller, but the squad have come out of it in good spirits and are looking forward to the next fixture.

β€œIt was a tough game, we went behind early on, but all the lads dug in until the end, there was a few tired legs.” He said.

β€œWe didn’t train on Thursday, so the lads were ready for the game and I think everyone has recovered well. We will train on Thursday and hopefully everyone will be ready for Saturday.” MacDonald added.

Going into the Barrow game, MacDonald spoke about the team wanting to start the next game how they left off at the end of the Eastleigh game.

β€œWe finished the game well and strong. As well as being the better team in the first half anyway I think, so we just need to pick up where we left off.” MacDonald told FCHT.

β€œWe will keep going and hopefully the results will start to turn for us.” He added.

The performances lately have perhaps not got the results that they deserved, and MacDonald talks about the results coming should the good performances continue.

β€œYeah, we should have come out with three points on Saturday. Hopefully if we keep working hard then we will get the results that our performances deserve.”

Throughout the recent away matches, all though the team might not have got the result that they were hoping for at Sutton United and Hartlepool, MacDonald’s individual performances have been on a good standard. He speaks about how he can do that especially when the results aren’t going the team’s way.

β€œYou just need to try and do what you can do for the team. Keep trying and to do the things that you are good at.” MacDonald said.

β€œHopefully I might perform a bit of brilliance and create an opportunity which can spring our performance in the game.

β€œIf I keep doing what I am doing, getting crosses in then we will eventually score goals hopefully and then start to get three points.” He added.

The midfielder spoke about the next game and how big it could be for the team if they were to get that positive result.

β€œIt was obviously a big game going into it, everyone had a good game. We have still got a lot of confidence going into the game against Barrow and hopefully the results can change in the end.” MacDonald told FCHT.
