This weekend FC Halifax Town will welcome Barrow to the MBi Shay Stadium in their second consecutive home game.

Fresh from a thrilling encounter last time out, Town will be hoping that the impressive comeback will turn their form around. The home side battled from 1-3 down to snatch a share of the spoils with a last-minute equaliser from loanee Daniel Batty.

Tom Denton was also able to get back amongst the goals this weekend as he coolly slotted home Town’s second goal. His goal scoring form could be key in Halifax’s battle to turn their fortunes around and begin moving up the league standings once more.

The Shaymen have now secured a point in two of their last five matches, with their previous draw coming against high-flying Woking. The two sides failed to break the deadlock and it was another solid home performance from Halifax.

Barrow’s most recent form looks to be slightly better than the home side’s as they have managed to come out on top in three of their last five outings. However, in their most recent clash, they were outclassed by a strong Bromley side and fell to a 0-3 defeat.

Town would be wise to take some encouragement from the positioning of Barrow in the league table. The Bluebirds currently occupy 19th place and are four points short of Halifax’s points tally at this point.

On paper, Barrow look like the in-form side in this fixture but as anyone who witnessed the incredible scenes at the Shay last Saturday will know, Town look like they are determined to get back to winning ways.
