Good afternoon, and welcome to you all. This season has seemed unusual in that I seem to be passing on my commiserations in these notes almost on a weekly basis. Unfortunately the trend has again continued, and this time personal friends of mine are involved, namely the Neatby family.

Dave was a perennial helper of the Supporters Club, serving on the Committee for a long number of years with his son Chris and daughter Debra. Along with other initiatives, Dave succeeded in collecting enough 10p pieces to stretch around the perimeter of the Shay pitch (although he refused to spend hours laying them all out for a newspaper to take a picture). Very recently, you will recall that he introduced the Lego model of the Shay as a money making venture.

These are just two examples of how he was passionate about his local football club, and itโ€™s a crying shame there arenโ€™t another hundred like him to take his place.

Moving on, today we give you the chance to vote on the Supporters Club Player of the Season. We are collecting votes earlier than normal due to FCHT arranging the presentation evening to take place after the Curzon Ashton match on April 22nd. Although itโ€™s a Supporters Club award, we invite everyone to vote, and you will find our representatives (bucket collectors) inside the turnstiles at the East and South Stands.

They will also be collecting any End of Season Raffle tickets, as there are now only a couple more home fixtures before we reach this milestone.

We would again like to advise all supporters that the Supporters Club Memorabilia Stall run by Dave โ€œCrockerโ€ Crossley has relocated from the East Stand main concourse to the ‘pop-up’ shop adjacent to the main entrance. This is to give everyone attending the game the opportunity to view the goods on offer and the chance to donate any sports programmes and other goods directly to the stall. As ever, all profits made will be ultimately passed on to FC Halifax Town.ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย
