Alfreton have several former Football League players on their books, including the experienced Craig Westcarr.

Westcarr is notable for his brace in Kettering Town’s 4-2 FA Cup defeat to then Premier League Fulham in 2008, before moving to Notts County.

After spending two years at Meadow Lane, followed by two at Chesterfield, he signed Walsall where he became a prolific goalscorer. He scored the club’s goal of the season in his first year in the West Midlands, and finished as top scorer the following season with 17 goals. His fine form earned him a move to Portsmouth where he continued his good form, scoring in his third game for the club against Northampton Town.

Westcarr has scored sixteen goals for the Derbyshire side this season, most recently a brace in a 2-0 victory at Gainsborough Trinity.

The Shaymen defenders will have to be in good form on Tuesday evening if they are to prevent the proven goal scorer from netting.
