After two defeats in a row the Shaymen will be keen to bounce back against the leagueโ€™s toughest defence in Telford.

The Shayโ€™s impressive 12 match unbeaten streak stretching back to pre-season was put to an end this week after back to back defeats to the sides joint top of the league.

Billy Heaths men will be keen to get back to winning ways against the leagues second lowest scorers at the weekend, and keep pace with Flyde, Harrogate and Salford at the top.

The sides last met in January of 2015 where the Shay were able to dig out an impressive 1-0 win away from home and saw Halifax move within a point of the promotion spots.

Matt Pearsonโ€™s second half strike pushed the Shay above Eastleigh and into sixth position in the National League.

Fast forward to the end of the season and The shay were unable to maintain their promotion efforts and finished 9th while Telford were relegated with the second worst defensive record in the division.

Telford narrowly avoided relegation on the last day last season and will be keen to keep well away from a dog fight at the bottom end of the table this year.

This season Telford have been steady away in the middle of the table so far, boasting an impressive defensive record with only five goals conceded. However, manger Rob Smith will surely be concerned by the lack of goals, only scoring five so far Halifax will surely go into the game confident of a result.

Remember, if you are not travelling down to the game there will be live match updates of all the action from AFC Fylde along post-match interviews with Heath and the lads available on the Town website and Shaymen Player HD.ย
