This week’s player spotlight goes to AFC Fylde’s very own goal machine, Danny Rowe. Adept in playing as both a midfielder and a striker, not only able to score goals but create them too, Rowe will be a persistent threat to the Shaymen defence.

Rowe can utilise both an impressively powerful and accurate strike, when the forward drops deeper into midfield he can hold the ball up and link up play with his team.

Having scored one more goal than Halifax Town’s very own Tom Denton, Rowe is currently the top goal scorer in the Vanarama National League North with seven goals in five games. His goals have been the driving force behind Fylde cliMBing to the top of the league in the early stages of this season.

Rowe joined Fylde in 2014 from Macclesfield Town and went on to bag an incredibly impressive 31 goals in his debut season. Becoming the Coasters top scorer for the 2014/15 campaign.

His goal scoring exploits didn’t end there. Scoring 24 goals during his second season made him the top scorer for the second season running. After two years with Fylde, Rowe had scored 55 goals for the club.

Beginning how he means to go on the 26-year old has started his third season on fire and looks well on course to make it another prolific year.
