FC Halifax Town made the long trip south to take on fellow Vanarama National League side Torquay United in the Buildbase FA Trophy and it was Town that booked their place in the 3rd Round with a 2-1 win.
Town boss Pete Wild made one change with Tobi Sho-Silva coming into the team for Jamie Allen, who missed out due to a sickness bug.
It was Sho-Silva who put the Shaymen ahead before Josh Staunton’s deflected effort put Town into a 2-0 goal lead.
Connor Lemon-Heigh pulled one back for the hosts but the Shaymen held on and will be in Monday’s draw, which will be live on TalkSport 2 from 1pm
