Shaymen TV spoke to Jeff King after the 2-0 loss against Yeovil at Huish Park. Here are Jeff’s thought’s on today’s performance.

After a disappointing result, Jeff stated ‘We started well, playing our own game, but when they went down to ten men, we come a bit away from what we’re good at. When they went 1-0 up, we had to chase the game and as you see in the second half, they just sat in.

King was involved in the incident which lead to the sending off of Yeovil attacker Gold Omotayo. “At first it was just a tangle, he decided to leave his foot in on the side of my face, as you can probably see, it’s lucky the fourth official seen.”

We asked Jeff whether he thought a game can be harder when a team goes down to ten men. He replied “Of course, it’s a mentality thing, we had a game plan, when they had 11 men, and when they went down to 10, maybe we thought we could do it a different way, it was hard to break them down after going 1-0 down.

Our two upcoming games against Farsley Celtic in the West Riding County Cup and Wrexham in the FA trophy is a good chance for us to go on two possible cup runs. “I’ve never been involved in a FA trophy run, so I’d like to do well in it.
